We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our service user’s care team in Leominster. This is a part time, permanent role, offering a competitive pay rate of £37.00 per hour, equivalent to £46,176 per annum, based on 24 hours per week. Meet our service user Freddie is a happy 13-year-old boy who lives with his loving parents and siblings at their home in Leominster. He attends school full time with the support of his care team and in his downtime, enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, bowling, playing games, cooking, going to the park, and listening to music. He also adores animals, so it would be great if you share the same passion, as he has dogs, cats, chickens, and a hamster. Freddie is reliant on his care staff and family to support his mobility and requires assistance to participate in activities. It is important to Freddie and his family that he makes his own decisions and is involved in all aspects of care. Whilst he is unable to communicate verbally, he can express his wants and needs with the help of his communication aids. Our team provides specialist, 24/7 care to manage Freddie’s clinical needs and this is delivered by our highly skilled care team on a 2:1 basis throughout the day and a 1:1 basis overnight. Essential experience required: Current NMC PIN Driver with access to a vehicle Ability to work flexibly across Monday to Sunday Clear Communication Skills Experience with the following is desirable, however not essential to be successful for this role Tracheostomy Care Ventilation Management Enteral Feeding (Gastrostomy) Bowel Management Intermittent Catheterisation Nebuliser Care Cough Assist Knowledge of Spinal Injury care, Acquired Brain Injury care, and seizure management would also be beneficial. Freddie usually attends specialist appointments accompanied by a Healthcare Assistant from his team, but there may be occasions when you will need to join him. This can sometimes include overnight stays away from home. Hotel expenses will be covered, and successful candidates will receive further details about travel and meal contributions.
