Part of a major international group, this organisation has a modern world class manufacturing facility to produce complex high value components for the Automotive industry and is seeking an experienced Quality Systems Engineer to support plant operations with quality and integrated business systems management and audit.
Role: Quality Systems Engineer
Salary: up to £40,000 per annum
Location: Wolverhampton (commutable from Walsall, Cannock, Stafford, Telford, Lichfield areas)
Duties for Quality Systems Engineer:
1. Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Systems Engineer will be responsible for the development, maintenance, audit and effective implementation of the plant integrated business management system incorporating quality, health & safety and environmental processes.
2. Maintenance and development of the company's quality and environmental management system documentation, including control and supervision of all amendments and revisions.
3. Control and the distribution of all the company's quality and environmental system related documentation.
4. Support the development and implementation of new business systems, incorporating training, awareness, support and assessment.
5. Coordinate internal audits in-line with the company internal audit schedule.
6. Coordinate external audits.
7. Work with cross-functional teams to drive system quality improvements through the business as required.
8. Support business initiatives to improve systems & quality/environmental awareness through all levels of the organisation.
Experience required for the Quality Systems Engineer:
1. Applications are sought from experienced Quality Systems Engineers, Business Systems Engineers or Quality Engineers/Managers with a keen interest in quality management systems and process auditing.
2. Proven background in maintaining and developing Quality Business Systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
3. Audit qualifications – Ideally Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor for IATF16949/ISO9001.
4. Qualified to a minimum HNC Level in a Quality related discipline.
5. Knowledge of the approaches used to develop PFMEA, Control plans and standardised work documents.
6. An understanding of internal audits and the role they play within the business.
