Salary: £83.33 - £90.00 Per Day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: After February 2025 Half Term

GSL Education are looking for a Complex Needs Support Worker in Scunthorpe to provide essential care and support to students who require additional assistance with their learning and development. As a Complex Needs Support Worker, you will work closely with teachers and other professionals to support students with a range of needs, ensuring they have access to the best possible learning environment. Your role will involve providing personal, social, and academic support to help students overcome challenges and thrive in the classroom.
What you have to do as a Complex Needs Support Worker:
* Provide one-to-one and small-group support for students with complex learning needs.
* Assist with personal care and mobility support when required.
* Support students with communication and social interaction skills.
* Work closely with teachers and specialists to implement individual learning plans.
* Encourage student engagement and participation in lessons.
* Assist in managing challenging behaviours and promoting positive learning experiences.
* Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and staff.
* Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
* Support students in developing life skills and independence.
* Uphold safeguarding and child protection policies at all times.
Complex Needs Support Worker Requirements:
* Previous experience working with individuals with complex needs is desirable.
* A degree in Education, Psychology or in a similar field.
* Understanding of various complex and special needs.
* A caring, patient, and empathetic approach.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
* Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
* An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
