Receptionist | Part time | £15,600
Central Birmingham
We have an opportunity for a Front of House Receptionist to work as part of a job share team in a corporate office building, located close to Birmingham New Street station.
You should be well presented with proven experience and confident to take ownership of this busy and varied role. You will deliver a high-level meet and greet service, as well introducing events and pop-ups to help create a community vibe within the building.
Hours and Salary
1pm - 6pm Wednesday
8.00am – 6.00pm Thursday and Friday
£15,600 pa
Key Responsibilities
Reception
* Delivering a warm, friendly welcome to tenants and visitors, following appropriate sign in protocols
* Ensuring the reception area always looks pristine and welcoming
* Managing deliveries - including couriers and post
* General administration
Building Management
* You will work closely with the off-site Building Manager – confidently reporting building issues and helping to manage resolution
* You will manage contractors visiting the building to undertake regular maintenance, issuing keys as required and updating the progress log
* You will produce a weekly update report for key stakeholders
Tenant Engagement
* Develop a good understanding of the local area and maintain a local amenities information file
* Work collaboratively with your job share to research, develop, and communicate (when applicable) a programme of initiatives to increase enjoyment for all those who work at the building e.g. pop-ups, competitions
* Create and develop a monthly e-newsletter for tenants
* Set up and manage social media accounts for the building, ensuring content is on brand
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Proven experience in a front of house reception role in an office environment
* Valid SIA Licence
* Security experience within a corporate environment
* Personable and proactive with a confident manner and able to deliver impeccable customer service
* Self-motivated with a ‘can do’ attitude
* Highly organised with the ability to multi-task
* Confident to work independently
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Competent PC user and confident using Microsoft Office and social media applications, and be willing to learn any in-house systems
