In this role, you'll need to organise your own workload, setting priorities to ensure the delivery of the most suitable and efficient intervention, advice and/or guidance relating to the specific needs of customers and carers. You'll need to be flexible to respond appropriately to unanticipated problems and be able to travel to different locations across the patch. Some level of physical effort will be incurred whilst demonstrating equipment and processes during interventions. You will also need to be able to communicate clearly with both customers, colleagues and those you mentor. Our Occupational Therapy Assistants need to be resilient, adaptable, organised and able to work in a fast-paced environment. You'll need to work efficiently and accurately record your work using electronic systems. You'll need to be committed to learning more about Occupational Therapy and how to implement it in practice. You'll enjoy working with people and optimising their wellbeing. Demonstration of good resilience is required as you could have exposure to challenging behaviours from people who access or need the service. There is a regular and intrinsic requirement to communicate in English with members of the public.
