It joined the PepsiCo family in 2001 and produces market-leading products such as Quaker Oats, Quaker OatSo Simple, Scott’s Porage Oats and Scott’s So Easy. Position Summary:
•Reports to: Engineering Team Leader•Shift: 24/5 Shift-Based, 12 hour shifts, mixture between days and nights •Salary: £47,265 (including shift allowance)•Other: Company pension
Responsibilities
Production Support:
1. Effective cross shift communication to ensure prompt resolution of reactive issues - Concise handover between Shift Technicians.
2. Provide hands on fault finding/rectification when required.
3. Effective link between Operations & Engineering.
4. Work with Maintenance Planners and Asset Care Teams to ensure all planned maintenance is completed Support FLM’s by providing engineering expertise to sustain shift performance.
5. Support contractor activity & electrical/mechanical maintenance activities on shift, using permit to work system (low risk activities & out of hours support).
Engineering Best Practice:
6. Lead and support improvements through CI initiatives and preventative actions (to include health & safety and food safety actions).
7. Support planned & predictive maintenance requirements.
8. Drive and own root cause analysis completion.
9. Ambassador for engineering standards and best practice across site.
10. Effective capture of all reactive/planned maintenance activities in CMMS.
11. Play effective role in site maintenance audit and subsequent improvement plans.
Qualifications
Technical:
12. Time served electrical engineer, ONC/HNC qualified in relevant electrical or mechanical discipline.
13. Demonstrate strong problem solving skills.
14. Computer literate & software familiarity (word, excel).
15. Demonstrate relevant CMMS knowledge.
16. Demonstrate problems solving capabilities.
People:
17. Good influencing, presentation, communication and decision making skills.
18. Motivated self starter with good prioritisation & planning skills.
19. Effective team member.
20. Display coaching & mentoring skills for Shift peers, Apprentices, Manufacturing
21. Technicians and Front Line Employees.
Desirable:
22. 18th Edition qualified.
23. Good knowledge of PLC controls systems to include programming, maintenance and fault finding. (Ideally experience with Allen Bradley PLC’s).
24. SAP EAM experience.
