Development Engineer required for permanent role within a manufacturing company in Clevedon, BS21. This role will involve defining and refining product requirements within the semiconductor abatement industry, managing the product roadmap, and overseeing the development process.

About the role
Designing and develop all mechanical aspects of a product range and participating in design reviews (specification, concept, model and critical).
Type testing and compliance testing of designs, including design of experiment.
To support the introduction of new products onto the factory flow line and where necessary on customers’ sites.
To ensure engineering changes are concluded in accordance with the planned schedule.
Participate in HAZOP/DFMEA studies and use risk analysis techniques according to best practice ensuring that resulting actions are included in a verification test plan, factory acceptance test or final test and commissioning document.
The right candidate
A minimum 2:2 Engineering degree or demonstrated industry experience with other engineering qualifications.
Proficiency in electrical and mechanical design concepts and system testing.
Familiarity with safety assessments, compliance standards, and regulations.
Proficiency in product development methodologies, including requirements gathering, design, validation, and manufacturing transition.
Strong communication skills, organisational awareness, and impact.
Experience with system characterisation, testing, and failure analysis techniques.
Influencing, communication, presentation and negotiating skills, both internally and externally
