Company Overview: A luxury company dealing with both private & commercial clients. They are looking for an individual as an Accounts Assistant to join their team to provide support to the Financial Controller.
Job Description:
You will be covering all aspects of the day-to-day accounts reporting directly to the Financial Controller.
Key Responsibilities:
* Purchase ledger:
o Inputting invoices into accounts software / CRM system
o Dealing with supplier queries
o Supplier statement reconciliations
o Weekly payment run by BACS
* Sales ledger:
o Sales invoicing, retail and contract
o Credit control
o Preparing ad-hoc sales invoices
o Managing IRP (Dealer) invoice processing and credit control
* Accounts assistance:
o Balance sheet reconciliations
o Bank reconciliations
o Preparing CIS deduction statements & records for review & submission
o Weekly cash and sales reporting
o Assisting with month-end processing & reporting
o Processing employee's business expense claims
o VAT return preparation
o Other ad hoc duties
Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate would be a self-motivated individual who has the ability to work independently using their own initiative. You should have excellent attention to detail & excel spreadsheet experience is essential. Experience of SAP would be preferable, but not essential for the right candidate and also a team player who is confident communicating with staff, suppliers & clients both by phone, e-mail & in person.
Salary and Hours:
The role of accounts assistant based in St. Albans is offering a salary up to £33,500 and the working hours: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM with hybrid working included once probation has been completed.
