Job Title: Manufacturing Controller
Department Overview:
The Manufacturing Controller will be responsible for managing the issuance, receipt, and oversight of stores and inventory within a storage environment. This role also includes the loading, tracking, and monitoring of work packages in a manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing stock control and storekeeping, including monitoring shelf life.
Allocating jobs to manufacturing cells based on planned lead times and cycle times to ensure alignment with production programs and delivery schedules.
Packing tasks, including the use of hand tools, as well as receiving and issuing tooling.
Updating computer-based records.
Overseeing kitting activities.
Loading and unloading of lorries.
Required Skills/Experience:
Previous experience in a stores or manufacturing control environment.
Ability to follow instructions accurately.
Willingness to work flexible shift patterns.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to take initiative.
Flexible approach to tasks.
Manual handling training.
Lifting & Slinging training (including overhead cranes).
ESD training.
Desirable Skills:
Proficiency in PC applications, particularly Excel.
Forklift truck license.
Knowledge of Kanban and 2-bin systems.
Familiarity with Enterprise Planning Systems such as SAP
