Computer Science is delivered at the Sixth Form Campus as an A Level Course with OCR, 80% assessed through exams at the end of two years and 20% through coursework undertaken throughout the two years.

About the role:
As a Teacher in Computer Science here at City of Portsmouth College, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of professionals. Your primary responsibilities will include delivering high-quality, engaging lessons at A level to 16-19 year olds.
In addition to teaching, you will be expected to contribute to the development of the curriculum, ensuring it remains current with industry trends and technological advancements. This includes designing new course materials, updating existing ones, and participating in curriculum review processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver high-quality curriculum relevant lessons to learners at Level 3 (A level, AAQ and T levels)
* Develop and adapt curriculum materials to meet the needs of learners
* Assess and provide feedback on student progress
* Support learners in achieving their educational goals
* Ensure compliance with all college policies and procedures
* Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills
* Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience
To be successful in this role, below is what we would need from you:
* A strong background in your subject specialism
* A PGCE or level 5 Teaching Qualification or willing to work towards
* Evidence of commitment to professional development
* A good standard of Maths and English
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
