Job Description
Job Purpose
To be accountable for the management of the day to day running of Home Instead's operations, ensuring compliance with all governing body requirements and legislation relevant to the service.
The Role
1. Work closely with the Franchise Owners to coordinate the development of a high quality private domiciliary care service for people in the local area.
2. Act as the Registered Manager managing the regulated activity for the office.
3. Oversee compliance with regulators, legislation and Home Instead’s Franchise Standards.
4. Promote the highest standards of care and service with a focus on person centred care.
5. Manage the process of client acquisition from initial contact to conversion, adhering to company policy.
6. Carry out care planning and conduct risk assessments ensuring compliance to relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
7. Ensure successful operation of quality control systems and performing quality assurance visits for clients.
8. Continually reviewing and improving processes to ensure the most effective and efficient service is always being delivered.
9. Effectively managing complaints and incidents, carrying out investigations relating to the quality of the service, and using those findings to initiate improvements.
10. Ensure relevant reports are forwarded to relevant bodies e.g. CQC and Safeguarding.
11. Promote a positive culture in line with the Home Instead ethos and values.
12. Network in the local community and via digital media to raise awareness of the service.
13. Provide inspired leadership to the team making sure that exceptional service is delivered to the clients and workloads are managed accordingly ensuring safe staffing levels.
14. Support the recruitment and training of Care Professionals and the office team.
15. Take part in disciplinary investigations, interviews and meetings following the company policy and in conjunction with advice from the HR Provider.
16. Ensure that policies and procedures are adhered to by all employees.
17. Support with the management of payroll and budgets.
18. Maintain the accuracy and integrity of data across all relevant platforms.
19. Keep up to date with changes in legislation and regulations.
20. Proactively identify own development areas in line with business objectives and the duties of your role, taking action within a reasonable timeframe.
21. Ensure compliance with Home Instead’s Equality, Diversity and Equal Opportunities Policy, in respect of employment and service delivery.
22. Carry out any other duties deemed necessary for the successful operation of the business.
Qualifications
23. Extensive care experience with a proven track record in providing excellent customer service and leading teams in domiciliary care services
24. Have or be willing to work towards Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services or equivalent
25. Excellent knowledge of care regulations, compliance, and legislative requirements
26. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills with the ability to inspire and build relationships
27. Commercially aware with experience in achieving business growth targets
28. Proficient in IT systems, including Microsoft Office or Google Suite, databases, and virtual communication platforms
29. Driving licence and access to a vehicle for community travel and on-call support
30. Flexibility to participate in an on-call rota and ability to work well under pressure
