NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. This is a fixed-term post of 12 months.
The shift pattern for this position is Monday – Friday 9.00 - 4.30 pm · One day 4pm finish.
The post holder will be part of the Business Support Team within East Dunbartonshire HSCP, working directly with the multi-disciplinary/multi-agency team to support the service. The post holder will be required to communicate with all users of the service. It is essential that the post holder has excellent communication skills with the ability to relate to a wide range of personalities.
Essential
* Experience gained within an office environment.
* Experience of dealing with a high volume of complex calls.
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work as part of a team.
* Ability to follow protocols for work areas and contribute to review of these protocols.
* Ability to prioritise workload and exercise initiative.
* Flexible.
Desirable
* Keyboard skills.
* Experience of data input.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office particularly in Word.
* Previous NHS Experience.
* Understanding of the function of the professions within the multi-disciplinary team.
New employees will undertake an induction/training programme. This will be a minimum of 4 weeks depending on the department and location.
