If so, come and join us We're seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to become part of our welcoming Specialist SEN Hub, managed by Wakefield Council. Our hub is a place where children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and complex needs receive tailored support and a high-quality education, and you can be a key part of that. About the Role: As an LSA, you will: Support students with EHCPs (Educational Health Care Plans) who have ASD and additional SEND needs Work within three busy classrooms, providing hands-on support in a structured setting Assist with personal care and feeding as part of the daily routine Help create an inclusive, positive, and engaging learning environment Work closely with teachers and therapists to implement individual learning and care plans What we’re looking for? Have experience, or a passion for working with students with additional needs, especially Autism. Have knowledge or understanding of how to support children with SEN and SEMH Be flexible, proactive and patient Be nurturing in their approach and interventions Be able to communicate effectively within a team Have a background in Education, Care, Social work, Psychology or Drama, as these are very transferable.
