An opportunity has arisen for a permanent Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse to join our Dynamic Orthopaedic Trauma Team on ward 3A.
We are a dynamic, skilled, and motivated team that strives to ensure high-quality care is provided to all of our service users.
3A is a friendly team and extremely hard working - come and be part of it.
The ward provides quality care for orthopaedic trauma as well as elective orthopaedic patients and can have outliers from a variety of sources including Ambulatory Care, A and E, clinics, and specialist nurse referrals.
3A work alongside their trauma coordinators on the ward who refer patients to them directly.
Please note this position is not due to start until April 2025.
Main duties of the job
You will be working alongside the Band 7 to ensure the safe running of the department on a daily basis and supporting the ward manager with the HR agenda in accordance with Trust policy. The post holder will also support the ward manager in implementing change and maintaining standards of care for patients and developing the education of ward staff.
All support will be given for this transition if you are a dynamic Band 5 and feel the need to take on more responsibility for the ward which is aiming to always improve and give safe and quality care to our patients and you could be part of that team.
Successful applicants will be given a comprehensive individualised induction programme so that you may develop your skills and knowledge within the department setting around existing skills and knowledge.
