What are we looking for?
iProbono is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Grants & Finance Officer based in London to strengthen and support our global programs team. This dynamic role will work closely with the leadership team/C-Suite to ensure efficient financial management, timely grant reporting, and streamlined finance systems. You will also play a key role in coordinating with iProbono’s UK-based Development Board and Finance Committee, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Finance Management:
1. Maintain and improve finance systems for efficient and transparent financial operations.
2. Work closely with the leadership team on financial planning, budgeting, and reporting.
Grant Reporting:
1. Manage multiple grant reporting requirements and deadlines, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
2. Prepare and submit organised and timely financial reports for funders.
Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to Charities Commission regulations and financial reporting.
Records Coordination: Coordinate with the Development Board and Finance Committee, maintaining clear records and facilitating transparent financial oversight.
Accounting & Data Management: Utilise accounting software and Microsoft Excel for accurate financial record-keeping, analysis, and reporting.
Communication & Stakeholder Engagement:
1. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
2. Liaise effectively with internal teams, external funders, and stakeholders to ensure clear and transparent financial processes.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues across multiple jurisdictions, fostering a collaborative and solution-oriented working environment.
Interest in Social Justice (Desirable): A passion for social justice and legal empowerment is a plus.
Qualifications & Experience
* A degree or qualification in Accounting or Finance.
* Prior experience in finance roles within the charity sector, with a strong grasp of financial processes and grant reporting.
* Highly organised, with the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
* Knowledge of Charities Commission compliance and reporting requirements.
* Experience handling multiple grant reporting deadlines and requirements.
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
