Job Title: Music Teacher- Residential Primary School SEMH Needs
Location:
East of England, Essex, Chigwell
Salary:
£30,000 - £45,000
Job Duties:
1. Plan and deliver engaging music lessons to primary school students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
2. Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that caters to the specific requirements of SEMH students
3. Assess and monitor student progress, adapting teaching methods as necessary
4. Collaborate with other teachers and support staff to provide integrated educational experiences
Required Qualifications:
5. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
6. Specialism in Music Education
7. Experience working with students with SEMH needs
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a primary school setting - Experience working with students with SEMH needs
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong understanding of SEMH educational strategies - Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Working Conditions:
- Work within a residential primary school environment - Regular interaction with students, parents, and other school staff - Full-Time hours with occasional evening or weekend responsibilities for school events or performances

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
