Job Title: Water Treatment Engineer
Location: Sunderland, Tyne and Wear
Salary / Benefits: £25k - £36k + Training + Benefits
We are working with a North East based, rapidly expanding Water Treatment company who are now seeking to take on a hard working and experienced Water Treatment Engineer. Working on Commercial, Leisure, Hospitality and Manufacturing sites you will be responsible for carrying out the maintenance, servicing, installing, and replacing of various water treatment systems, including water softeners, chlorine dioxide units, reverse osmosis, and dosing systems. You will also be carrying out general L8 compliance duties such as water sampling, temperature monitoring, and TMV servicing. Experience & Qualifications:
1. Experience working for an established Water Treatment / Hygiene / Equipment company.
2. Strong background working hands on as a Water Treatment Engineer.
3. Well versed in HSG 274 / ACoP L8 / BSRIA guidelines.
4. Good IT skills.
5. Holding a recognised qualification of electrical / mechanical engineering would be beneficial to the role.
6. Able to communicate efficiently.
7. Will be able to work well independently and as a team.
The Role:
1. Installing, maintaining, and servicing of water treatment systems including, water softeners, chlorine dioxide units, reverse osmosis systems.
2. Undertaking pre-work risk assessments.
3. Replacing and installing reverse osmosis, UV filtration systems, and dosing equipment.
4. Carrying out closed system sampling, analysis, and dosing with correct chemicals.
5. Undertaking pre-commissioning cleans and flushing in line with BSRIA guidelines.
6. Carrying out spa balance tank cleans.
7. Water sampling.
8. Temperature monitoring.
9. Showerhead cleans and descales.
10. TMV servicing and failsafe testing.
11. Carrying out calorifier pasteurisations.
12. Cleans and disinfections of water tanks.
13. Working in line with ACoP L8 / HSG 274 / BSRIA guidelines.
