Audit Partner
Are you a strategic leader ready to make a significant impact in a growing firm with ambitious plans?
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a forward-thinking, commercially minded Audit Partner to join a thriving accountancy and advisory practice in Bristol, driving regional growth while overseeing a dynamic audit and general practice team.
As an Audit Partner, you’ll play a central role in leading the firm’s audit and accounts services in the Bristol office. You’ll provide both strategic direction and hands-on oversight of client delivery, with a focus on quality, operational efficiency, and team development.
This is a high-impact leadership role for someone with the vision and drive to shape the future of a growing office and firm.
Role Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Growth
* Shape and execute local growth plans in line with national strategy
* Drive commercial success through innovation, client development and market engagement
* Act as a senior representative of the firm across the Bristol professional community
Client Relationship Management
* Serve as a trusted adviser to a portfolio of key clients, including owner-managed and mid-market businesses
* Oversee the delivery of high-quality audit and accounting engagements, ensuring compliance and excellence
* Lead conversations with boards, CFOs and other stakeholders
Operational Excellence
* Take responsibility for the planning, delivery, and final review of audit and accounts files
* Identify opportunities for improvement and implement systems to streamline service delivery
Business Development
* Help expand the firm’s client base through networking, referrals and strategic pitches
* Collaborate with other partners and business lines to cross-sell services
* Develop and mentor managers and future leaders within the team
* Play an active role in recruitment, team structure and resource planning
Candidate Requirements
* ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with extensive post-qualification experience in practice
* Prior experience in a senior audit leadership role, ideally with general practice exposure
* Strong technical knowledge of audit and UK accounting standards
* Proven ability to grow client relationships and drive business development
* Confident team leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Commercially sharp with a passion for quality and innovation
