Children Looked After – Senior Practitioner (Band 7) – East Essex
£35.00 per hour (Umbrella) | 3-6 months ongoing | ASAP - 4 weeks start
Are you an experienced Senior Practitioner looking for your next challenge? Hunter Gatherer Social Care is on the lookout for a passionate and dedicated professional to join a Children Looked After team in East Essex. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of vulnerable children while working within a supportive and dynamic team.
What You’ll Be Doing:
1. Preparing and submitting detailed reports, including statements and care plans for care proceedings in Family Proceedings, County, and High Courts.
2. Managing a complex caseload, ensuring children receive the best possible care and support.
3. Working a hybrid pattern, with at least two days per week in the office.
4. Collaborating with professionals across multiple agencies to deliver outstanding child-centered care.
Requirements & Qualifications:
1. Qualified Social Worker with SWE registration.
2. Proven experience working within Children Looked After services.
3. Strong understanding of care proceedings and legal frameworks.
4. Must be a driver with access to a vehicle.
5. Full-time position (37 hours per week)
6. 3-6 months ongoing contract
7. Hybrid working – minimum two days per week in the office
