Job summary Portering Services - Supervisor Hours: 37.5 hours per week worked in shifts over 7 days (nights/days/weekends) An opportunity exists for a hard working, enthusiastic and motivated person to join the portering supervisory team. Applicants should have previous experience of supervising staff, and possess the necessary skills to be an effective supervisor. These include building an effective team, good communication skills, and ability to prioritize work, developing and motivating staff, and a basic knowledge of IT. This is a busy acute hospital and the supervisor will be required to manage a team of porters in the delivery of cost effective and customer focused service Full training opportunities are provided Flexibility is required in this busy department. Previous experience of working in a supervisory role is desirable, although full training will be given.
