The post holder will support the Temporary Staffing Clinical Nurses on a day-to-day basis. The role will be to ensure we have high-quality bank workers in our trust ready to be placed in a service for temporary cover. As a trust, we expect all our colleagues to maintain all their mandatory training as well as any role-specific training and this role will support this.
In addition to supporting with training compliance, the post holder will also support with the recruitment and retention of temporary staffing. Therefore they must have a good understanding of NHS systems including experience in using Trac.
Furthermore, you will support the implementation of new processes in relation to monitoring the use of temporary workers, compliance with professional registration, and training.
Main duties of the job
As an administrator with proven experience and skills, you will work closely with the Corporate Teams, Heads of Nursing/Senior Managers, Lead Nurses, and Temporary Staffing Team to ensure the effective systems and processes for the use of temporary (bank) and Agency Staff are embedded into practice throughout the Trust.
You will support the Lead Nurses in monitoring and maintaining compliance, quality, and governance as well as taking a key role in supporting the recruitment of temporary staffing.
The post holder must have experience of using NHS systems, Trac, and have a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages particularly Excel.
