About you

About the role
You will manage the day to day running of the Stores operations. Supporting the effective operation of the stores department and overall people management of the stores team. A key part of the role will be implementing and driving a new stores management system
Responsibilities
* Manage the day to day running of the stores’ operation ensuring the stores are managed, organised and maintained to a high standard and meet the relevant performance indicators as defined by the business.
* Effectively communicate between all teams on stock availability, delivery dates and expenditure.
* Drive continuous improvement within the stores area and implement change as appropriate. Tasked with improving and optimising stores processes and procedures. Demonstrating improvements in cost and efficiency of all elements of parts storage.
* You will work closely with all stakeholders to ensure that downtime is kept to a minimum through accurate stock management and that critical spares are never out of stock.
* Responsible for ensuring accurate data entry of all daily transactions and stock movements onto relevant systems.
* Manage the inbound and outbound logistics and dispatch of all projects and spares orders.
* Ensure all incoming parts are on the shelf and logged within 24 hours of receipt.
* Ensure all orders are managed through stores requisitions forms and no order given without generating a purchase order.
* Manage the effective security of stores.
* Monitor and maintain excellent housekeeping standards across all engineering stores and fully comply with 5S and hygiene standards.
* Produce relevant KPI reports ensuring appropriate analysis and ensure that all reports are completed in a timely manner.
* Comply with all the necessary Health and Safety Regulations within the workplace and escalate any H&S issues as appropriate.
* Take ownership of your own performance/ development needs, effectively manage your own time to maximise effectiveness.
Hours of work
The role is full-time based on our standard 39 hours working Monday to Thursday 7.45am to 4.45pm and 7.45am until 1pm on a Friday.
