As our popular, oversubscribed school continues to grow, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a candidate of exceptional ability to join our RS & Social Sciences team.
Towers School and Sixth Form Centre is looking for a Teacher of Religious Studies who is able to teach from KS3-KS5, starting in April 2023.
Our students take the AQA A GCSE Religious Studies specification, opting for Christianity and Buddhism for 50% of the course, with the other 50% focusing on philosophical and ethical themes. This is an optional subject at GCSE.
At KS5, our students take the Eduqas GCE in Religious Studies.
Knowledge booklets are created and shared within departments to ensure that all lessons are purposeful and consistent. A level Theology, Ethics and Philosophy teaching experience is desirable but not essential.
This is a full-time year contract with the possibility of becoming permanent. Applications are welcomed from those that are experienced, Early Career Teachers (ECTs), and those with Religious Studies based degrees.
