Our client, a highly esteemed accountancy practice based in Bexhill, is currently seeking an Audit Assistant/ Semi-Senior to join their dynamic team. Key Responsibilities:
1. Assisting in the planning and execution of audit engagements for a range of clients
2. Conducting fieldwork, including testing of controls, substantive testing, and analytical review procedures
3. Preparing audit working papers and draft financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
4. Collaborating effectively with audit team members and clients to ensure efficient and accurate completion of engagements
5. Identifying and communicating audit findings, risks, and recommendations to management
6. Contributing to the continuous improvement of audit processes and procedures
7. Providing support and guidance to junior team members as needed
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Part-qualified or newly qualified ACA/ACCA or equivalent qualification
2. Previous experience in audit engagements within an accountancy practice environment
3. Strong technical knowledge of auditing and accounting standards (UK GAAP, FRS, and IFRS)
4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
5. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
6. Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
7. Commitment to professional development and continuous learning
Benefits
£25,000 - £35,000 dependent on experience and background, negotiable.
