Role Profile: The Business Administrator Apprentice is required to work as part of a busy team to provide an efficient & effective administrative support service. The postholder will work towards an NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration and will gain skills in processing sales orders, purchasing, general administration and reception duties. Being a primary point of contact for customer queries and working closely with the administration team to support the daily operations of the team and the manufacturing facility. Key Responsibilities: Support and learn all aspects of purchasing, being able to put on orders and speak with suppliers to receive best price and delivery. Provide administrative support to the operations administration team. Answer calls from customers and being the point of contact for any questions and queries. Support and learn all aspects of sales order entry, being able to help during busy periods and holidays. Chase proforma payments from customers and liaising with the accounts department. Provide cover for reception during breaks, lunch and holidays. Support and learn the role of a general administrator to be able to help during busy periods and holidays. Assist in the reporting of KPI’s along with the guidance of Production Manager and the Buyer. General administration and data entry duties. Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office to complete daily administration tasks, using Outlook to email suppliers, customers and internal colleagues and Excel to produce reports to be sent to suppliers such as supplier evaluation. Skills, Experience & Personal Attributes: A minimum of 5 x GCSEs including English and Maths at Grade 4 or above Good communication skills, (both verbal and written) Excellent IT skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good attitude, with a willingness to learn new skills Ability to adapt to changing priorities Excellent attention to detail This position requires 100% on site presence. The post holder will be required to attend Leicester College one day every fortnight, whereby they will be working towards an 18 month NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration.
