What’s expected of you?
DeterTech are seeking 2x Risk Managers to play a pivotal role in supporting our risk management initiatives across our UK customer base. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic guidance and oversight on all risk-related matters, ensuring that the company’s operations are conducted in compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance and compliance to identify, assess and mitigate potential risks that could impact DeterTech’s reputation, financial stability and operational efficiency.

Remote based role, travelling to sites daily.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct site-specific Security Threat Assessments /Surveys across multiple sectors, including rail/utilities/construction/security.
* Attending sites to provide support, security advice & operational deployments.
* Engaging with clients in an operational capacity.
* Producing risk assessments and method statements.
* Producing reports including Operational Orders and Threat Assessments.
* Manage covert equipment once deployed on an ongoing basis, which may involve working outside of office hours.
* Holding a PTS (Personal Track Safety Qualification) or being able to undertake qualification within the Probation Period.
* Be capable of undertaking training for a number of roles on the Rail Network, working to obtain a Controller of Site Safety (COSS) qualification successfully within the probation period.
* Complete training based on the needs of clients, which may involve Health and Safety qualifications (CSCS/EUSR/IOSH) to enable permission to work within client-controlled environments.
* Liaise with Security Managers on site operations as well as with Police.
* Assist the Commercial Team with Business Development and Client / Police Liaison as required.
* Management of MOM/MIO Network Rail/Crime Reduction Manager including embedded BTP relationships.
* Court appearances when required.
* Flexibility to travel at short notice and undertake overnight stays will be required.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Experience working in a public sector intelligence environment and experience of working with relevant public sector systems.
* Experience in the use of Overt/Covert Operations.
* Experience in providing Crime Prevention advice.
* Experience and Knowledge of the Rail infrastructure including safety-critical management.
* Experience working with external agencies and stakeholders.
* Experience of working in a team to support fast-paced live operations as well as managing tight deadlines and prioritising workloads.
* Good working knowledge of the National Intelligence Model (NIM).
* A reasonable level of physical fitness as the role will involve some lifting/carrying of heavy equipment and traversing uneven surfaces.
* Must have a valid driving license.
* Experience and knowledge of various electronic/optical platforms.
* Experience and knowledge of forensic protection solutions.
* This role will involve extensive travel throughout the UK, working within a specialist team where the key is flexibility and resilience.
* Must be prepared to work in all environments and weather conditions.
