We are looking for a dedicated and compassionateLocum Consultant in Community Paediatricsto join a multidisciplinary team in Wales. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the well-being and development of children and young people, providing expert care in a community-based setting. This locum contract offers a flexible duration of12-24 months, with a full-time commitment of37.5 hours per week, across 10 sessions. There is also the potential for a substantive post once you achieve Specialist Registration.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide expert assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for children and young people with a wide variety of health conditions.
* Develop and implement care plans, ensuring appropriate interventions and follow-up.
* Lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, physiotherapists, psychologists, and social workers.
* Contribute to the development and delivery of community paediatric services.
* Offer guidance, training, and support to junior medical staff and other team members.
* Work closely with families and carers, promoting early intervention and preventative care.
* Participate in audits, clinical governance, and research activities.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
* GMC registration with a license to practice.
* Specialist Registration in Paediatrics (or eligible to apply).
* Significant experience in paediatrics, particularly in a community-based or outpatient setting.
