Job Description:
● Contract Type: Permanent / 37.5 hours per week
● Salary: £36,500 per annum
● Location: 15, Castlemead, Lower Castle St, Broadmead, Bristol BS1 3AG
● Days of Work: Monday to Friday 9:30 - 17:00
● Hybrid Working: 3 days office based, 2 at home, however subject to change depending on business needs

Job Responsibilities:
We are looking for a Claims Team Leader to lead and inspire a team consisting of Clerks to achieve all set business objectives and KPIs in relation to the processing of loss and damage claims.
You will manage customer interactions via telephone and email ensuring our customers' expectations are always appropriately met.
You will be expected to liaise with various internal departments in relation to the above, such as customer services, customer relationship management, and Finance to ensure all business requirements are met.
Key Tasks/Areas of Responsibility:
1. Validate new claim requests against clearly defined policies and issue claims forms to our customers where appropriate.
2. Validate completed customer claim forms against clearly defined policies to establish if DPD is liable for loss and damage in transit, issuing settlement or rejecting where appropriate.
3. Manage inbound calls and emails relating to loss and damage claims ensuring our customers' expectations are always appropriately met.
4. Ensure all tasks are completed within agreed timescales ensuring all defined quality standards are met.
5. Complete quarterly performance and potential reviews with direct reports.
6. Take any relevant action to address any breach of company policies or procedures.
About You:
● Proven ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve challenging departmental KPIs.
● Demonstrable experience of working in a fast-paced customer service environment.
● Strong communication skills with a confident telephone manner and the ability to build a quick rapport with customers.
● Polite and professional at all times with a willingness to go the ‘extra mile’ to exceed customer expectations.
● Ability to work as a team player and on your own initiative.
● Excellent administration skills with the ability to use Microsoft Office / Google programmes.
● High levels of self-motivation and initiative to effectively problem solve.
● Vigilant to any unscrupulous activity taking swift and appropriate action when required.
