Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a Matron for the Head & Neck Directorate at South Tyneside & Sunderland Foundation Trust. The Matron is a core member of the directorate & divisional team responsible for the delivery of the trust objectives for safety, quality and experience. The Matron has responsibility for the implementation of robust systems and processes that ensure there is continuing improvement in the quality and productivity of the service provided to patients; a key role being to maintain the safety of patients and staff. The Matron provides a visible, accessible and leadership presence across the directorate promoting a culture of learning and sharing good practice in relation to clinical risk, patient safety and patient experience. Main duties of the job The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills and have experience of effective operational management, leading clinical development and managing change.
