To act as lead and mentor for staff, supporting them in their development. The post holder will assist in delivering a service which meets target standards and promotes a creative and innovative approach to on-going service development, including the mentoring and management of junior staff, and driving forward Achieving Excellence within the department. To provide a high standard of individualised patient care to all patients attending the Main Outpatient Services, at the Royal Surrey County Hospital. To ensure that care is evidence based and patient centered. The post holder will assist in the management and organisation of the nursing service within the Outpatient areas including the teaching and management of more junior staff or those in training. The post holder will be a resource nurse for the area and will act as a link in promoting an integrated specialist service. The post holder will develop elements of nurse led practice within Outpatients.
