3-6 months contract with a Local Authority Job Purpose To be clear we are looking for a marketing professional with experience and knowledge of children’s services rather than a “recruiter” (as in someone that fills jobs) - though many of the skills needed in recruitment will be useful as the postholder will be speaking to potential foster carers and answering enquiries. Overall purpose/aim of the postholder will be to plan and coordinate marketing, promotional and recruitment campaigns and other activities that lead to the successful recruitment of foster carers within LB Newham. Postholder will need to work with a degree of autonomy toward targets. Key Duties/Accountabilities Work closely with the Communication Team to advertise recruitment events in written publications and on social media platforms. Daily check of CRT Mailbox. Prompt response to fostering enquiries. Complete telephone interviews of prospective foster carers. Complete local authority checks using Azeus database on all positive enquiries. Send all positive enquiries to Team Manager Load enquiries on the system for take by social workers. Maintain internal trackers and excel spread sheet. Attend CRT team meetings and those relating to recruitment and marketing. To develop innovative, research and evidence-based marketing and advertising plans based on service requirements. Develop marketing materials and advertising to support Foster Carer recruitment in conjunction with corporate comms colleagues Essential Experience Required Experience O f marketing including social media and digital campaigns is essential. Experience in recruitment will be useful as the postholder will be speaking to potential foster carers and answering enquiries is essential.
