As a BYD Product Support & Aftersales Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring an outstanding customer experience by providing first-hand technical support during vehicle handovers and delivering high-quality aftersales service. This role combines technical expertise with exceptional customer service, ensuring that our customers fully understand and appreciate the innovative technology behind BYD vehicles.
You will be responsible for setting up, configuring, and demonstrating BYD's in-car and app based software, as well as performing maintenance and repairs on BYD's cutting-edge electric vehicles.
Hours - 40
Salary - £35,000 plus company van
Key Responsibilities
* Provide hands-on support to customers during the vehicle handover process, ensuring they understand the key features, setup, and operation of their BYD vehicle.
* Assist customers with configuring in-car technology, systems, and the BYD app to optimise their user experience.
* Deliver clear and engaging demonstrations of vehicle functionality, including charging procedures and advanced driver assistance systems.
* Perform vehicle inspections, routine maintenance, and diagnostic repairs on BYD electric vehicles to the highest manufacturer and industry standards.
* Troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware issues related to BYD's EV technology, ensuring a seamless ownership experience for customers.
Requirements
* Previous experience as an automotive technician and EV specialist
* Strong understanding of vehicle diagnostics, software configuration, and EV technology (BYD experience preferred but not required).
* Level 3 in EV/Hybrid Vehicle Maintenance.
* A full UK driving licence.
