About The Role
We are recruiting an additional Learning Support Assistant to join our new state of the art academy in Rochester. The successful candidates will be required to work with students across the Academy to ensure that students’ needs do not become a barrier to learning and making progress.
Our Learning Support Assistants will be required to understand individual students’ needs and work with subject teachers so that they can develop learning programmes appropriate to the needs of those students. Support will encompass both in class and through targeted interventions, which may also involve small group work.
Experience of working with primary or secondary aged children with the ability to raise aspirations to ensure the best possible outcomes will be beneficial, as will the ability to motivate children, have a passion to make a positive outcome for the children and have high expectations of children’s emotional, social and mental health development. Excellent interpersonal skills, and as we are an academy that utilises One:One devices good knowledge of ICT would be essential.
