As such, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Medical HR Manager to help shape our delivery and ensure we are providing a high quality professional and responsive Medical HR function.
As a Medical HR Manager, you will offer guidance and assistance across the Trust on intricate and occasionally contentious matters concerning Medical Personnel. Your role will involve ensuring that all medical staff and managers have access to appropriate advice, while also promoting a consistent approach to guarantee the correct implementation of employment legislation, policies, procedures, and terms and conditions.
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities
* To provide effective leadership and management for the Medical Personnel/Resident Doctors Hours team ensuring effective service delivery and maximum performance and motivation, enhancing staff development, communication, performance management and managing attendance.
* To work collaboratively with HR & OD Business Partners, ensuring the sharing of best practice, informed planning, decision-making and consistency of approach.
* Support managers and Employee Relations to manage medical staff issues relating to training, disciplinary and grievance, sickness; liaising with appropriate internal and external bodies (the Postgraduate Dean, NCAS & GMC) where necessary in line with Trust Policy, Deanery Policy and the TCS.
* To initiate dialogue and liaise with colleagues in the wider People arena so that they are informed on People issues in the Trusts and where appropriate, the local health economy.

The single corporate service is delivered across both organisations. You may be based at either IWT or PHU and individuals may be required to undertake business travel between sites. For leaders managing staff across multi-site locations, you will need to be visible and provide in-person leadership. The arrangements and frequency will be agreed locally.

Person Specification
Qualifications and Skills & Knowledge
* Member of Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
* Highly specialist knowledge of one or more HR topics acquired through degree and professional HR qualification plus additional training or equivalent experience to masters level or equivalent.
