We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Owen Daniels, a global leading manufacturer of ground support equipment and access ways. This is a permanent role with a competitive salary.
Job Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and developing key market sectors and new business opportunities in the USA. Regular travel to the US will be required, with 10–14-day trips every 4-6 weeks.
Main Responsibilities
* Market Analysis: Conduct thorough research to identify potential customers and business opportunities in the USA.
* Customer Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
* Quote Generation: Prepare and follow up on quotes, including detailed progress reports.
* Team Collaboration: Communicate essential details to design, purchasing, and production teams to ensure seamless project execution.
* Market Reporting: Maintain customer records and provide regular reports on market conditions, trends, and feedback.
Requirements
* Experience: A minimum of [Salary: $80,000 - $110,000] per annum experience in sales, account management, or business development within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
* Skills: Strong communication and negotiation skills, ability to read and understand engineering drawings, experience with site surveys and quote generation.
