Senior Wellbeing Officer
An exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and innovative team, working with partners to address health inequalities and to manage and develop our award-winning leisure centres which have already received over £25m of investment.
The role includes managing the leisure operator contract with Everyone Active and developing Active Communities initiatives. A key element of the work over the next couple of years will be to oversee capital improvement projects and variations to the contract, to enhance the offer provided to the residents of Ashfield.
The successful candidate will manage team members to ensure successful delivery of initiatives including Feel Good Families, Feeding Ashfield and Workplace Health.
We are using an asset-based community development approach to strengthen relationships in our priority areas, developing under used assets, and attracting funding and resources, ensuring we deliver what matters to residents, and empowering them to make things happen. The role will oversee this work in priority places, identified in the Be Healthy, Be Happy Strategy.
We promote flexible and hybrid working with opportunities for learning and development and an attractive benefits package. If you would like to discuss this opportunity, please contact the Wellbeing Manager Andrea Stone: andrea.stone@ashfield.gov.uk
