The Medical Secretary is primarily responsible for undertaking a wide range of secretarial duties and the provision of general support to the wider multi-professional team. A sound professional working relationship will be required with the GPs and staff working within the Practice. The role requires high levels of organisation and excellent interpersonal skills.
The post is for 30 hours per week and the role includes:
* Fast and accurate audio typing
* Acting as the central point of contact for patients with referral queries
* Liaising with multi-professional team members and external agencies to arrange appointments and follow up information
* Familiarity with EMIS Web clinical software systems and Docman
* Use of Lexacom digital dictation software

Qualifications
* Educated to at least GCSE level with equivalent of Grade C or above in English and Maths
* Medical Secretary Course/Diploma
* Medical Terminology Course
