Job Title: Graduate Trainee Deal Maker
Location: Preston Dock | On-site - office-based
Hours: 36 hours, Monday to Friday, 5 days per week.

During your first 18 months you will undergo intensive on-the-job training which will enable you to understand the fundamentals of selling businesses. Initially, starting with sub £1m transaction values you will learn about the key actions which take place to prepare, launch and sell your portfolio of SME businesses. You will be brokering the sale of businesses during your first year building up your knowledge bank as you prepare to deal in increased volumes during year two.

Responsibilities of the role of Graduate Trainee Deal Maker:
1. Client Administration
1. To gain skills and technical understanding of the end-to-end business brokerage market.
2. To learn all aspects of bringing new instructions to market including setting up client files; information required; maintaining Company records and log notes; compiling sales details etc.
3. To work towards managing a portfolio of clients.
4. Research key markets and prospective buyers.
5. Work with the Corporate Deal Executives and Directors to develop strategies to sell current and future opportunities.
6. Maintain high levels of customer service and comply with Group policies.
7. Contribute to overall department success based on quality of service.
2. Sales Negotiation
1. To learn both technical and soft skills to create a healthy sales pipeline of deals.
2. Develop exceptional negotiation skills to achieve the best deal for our clients.
3. To effectively manage workload and targets to be able to implement ideas to customers.
4. To achieve daily, weekly, and monthly KPI's and contribute as part of the team.
5. Performing key portfolio tasks including:
1. Manage buyer enquiries via telephone/email, log and effectively deal with enquiries.
2. Arranging viewings and liaising with both clients and buyers.
3. Collating viewing feedback and feeding back to the vendor.
4. Regularly updating buyers and vendors through telephone contact and emails.
5. Negotiating and agreeing deals and then seeing those deals through to completion.
6. Drive testimonials and positive/first class online reviews for our services and aim for five-star trust pilot ranking where relevant.
7. Problem-solve with ability to use general common sense in finding solutions.
8. Ad hoc projects and events as determined by the Managers and Directors.
9. Actively drive career progression and self-growth.
Requirements:
Essential:
Graduate within a business, economics, or finance field.
Determination to create a rewarding career in B2B brokerage.
Willing to learn, develop and drive personal development and growth to succeed.
Technically capable and must be proficient in all Microsoft Office packages.
Prepared to work on an individual basis but also contribute to the success of the overall team.
Must be flexible with a can-do attitude with exceptional organisational skills.
Desirable:
Record of success within sales/customer care environment. Proven track record of delivering key performance indicators in a busy sales environment. Experience using databases or CRM systems.
