Role: Maintenance Planner (SPA)
Location: Burton-Upon-Trent
Shifts: Monday – Friday (One day a week in Preston)
Salary: £49,000, Private Healthcare, Internal and external training courses

I am proud to be working with a global systems integrator within the warehousing industry. The company designs, manufactures, and installs automation for product retrieval and storage, providing a resident site maintenance team. They work with significant names across the UK and are constantly growing, now operational in over 60 countries worldwide.
On this site in Burton, there has been over £20 million invested recently in the latest tech and automation. They have grown from processing 20,000 orders a day to 40,000, following sustained success since the pandemic, which has increased demand for their products on site. They are looking for a Maintenance Planner to manage all stores and spares as part of their day-to-day role on behalf of the client. This role requires travel to Preston one day a week for meetings and store management.
The Role
As a Maintenance Planner, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
1. Managing stores to ensure the site has the correct inventory for its requirements, including regular checks and orders, and ensuring everything is tracked and raised on the CMMS systems.
2. Attending daily review meetings to provide feedback on any concerns raised and details of actions taken.
3. Ensuring the correct consumables are on site and maintaining adequate levels for site requirements.
4. Managing the tooling aspect on site by requesting quotes and placing orders for the engineering workshop.
5. Managing repairs by ensuring they are logged, tagged, and shipped to the correct supplier while analyzing quotes.
6. Maintaining budgets to ensure all purchases are recorded on the correct tracker and providing monthly reports for senior members and the customer.
The Candidate
In a Maintenance Planner, I am looking for:
1. A planner with an established engineering background.
2. A recognized engineering qualification.
3. Strong administrative and audit skills.
4. Strong Excel and Microsoft skills.
