Your new role
The role of an Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) is to work on the frontline to provide a high quality support service to victims who are at high risk of harm. Your role is to help the individual understand their options and ensure a safe plan of protection is in place. You will also report & respond to the Multi-agency Rish Assessment Conferences (MARAC) on behalf of the client.
What you need to Succeed
To be successful in being shortlisted for this vacancy, you will have previous experience of managing a caseload where you are responsible for offering a support service to vulnerable client groups, as well as the experience of risk assessing and creating support plans tailored to individual clients. You ideally will also have experience and a good understanding of MARAC. This service supports only female victims and therefore, only female applicants will be accepted. You must have a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle that you are happy to use for work purposes.
