Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Officer to join their dynamic team in Swords.
In this role, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance, working with cross-functional teams to manage material disposition, returns, and compliance processes. Tasks and Responsibilities:
Material Disposition Support: Handle materials flagged as potentially defective from incoming inspections and production lines. Maintain Quality Notifications to document these materials and collaborate with engineering and other departments for effective disposition. Work with Finance to resolve invoice and financial discrepancies.
Return to Supplier Process: Manage materials designated for return to suppliers through the non-conforming material review process. Create Return Material Authorizations (RMA) for rejected parts, ensuring all necessary approvals are in place. Coordinate with suppliers to approve RMAs and facilitate the return process. Develop and maintain supplier relationships to support material returns.
Scrap Material Processing: Oversee the processing of materials designated as scrap. Generate weekly Scrap QN part list reports from SAP, complete Scrap Forms, and upload them to the SharePoint inventory adjustment application as needed.
Material Compliance: Assist in gathering and registering material compliance data, including EU RoHS compliance. Run compliance reports in SAP.
Qualifications and Experience:
Experience: Ideally, 3+ years of relevant experience in a Quality Team.
Education: Minimum of a third-level qualification (Degree QQI level 8) in Quality Management, Business, Administration, or equivalent experience.
Skills: Strong communication skills (written and verbal), experience working in teams and on projects, and a solid understanding of Quality administration activities, including SAP. Proven problem-solving abilities in a dynamic, regulated environment with tight deadlines.
Attributes: Results-oriented with a drive to meet deadlines. Experience in team and project settings within quality management.
Attributes and Skills:
Administrative Skills: Proficient in SAP, SharePoint, and other applications.
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work with internal departments and stakeholders for processing rejected materials and stock purges.
Supplier Coordination: Capable of managing logistics-related activities with suppliers.
