Job summary We are looking for a qualified Nurse Associate to join the nursing team in our friendly forward thinking GP Practice. You will work alongside our Practice Nurse and Doctors to deliver first class care to our patients. Main duties of the job The main duties of the role are to deliver nursing care to the level of your competencies, which ideally will include phlebotomy, wound care, immunisations & some disease management. Support the Practice Nurse with the management of patients with long-term conditions/chronic diseases, using a holistic patient centred approach. Assist in and perform routine tasks related to patient care as directed by the Practice Nurse or GP Be able to undertake baseline observations and identify signs of improvement, report any deterioration or concerns, e.g. pulse, blood pressure, respiration, oxygen saturation, blood glucose levels, assessing nutrition and hydration, participate in screening programmes and Annual Reviews for example in patients with Learning Disabilities Administer medications as prescribed and in accordance with NMC standards e.g. via nebuliser or injections using sub-cutaneous or intramuscular route under Patient Specific Directions.
