Job summary We currently have opportunities for Radiology Department Assistants to join our dedicated team at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. You will play a vital role in supporting both patients and Radiology staff. The successful candidate is expected to work across our 3 hospital sites: Watford General Hospital, St Albans City Hospital and Hemel Hempstead Hospital. Working hours include weekdays, weekends and bank holidays. The post holder will assist in delivering high-quality radiology services, working collaboratively within a dynamic and supportive team while maintaining professional relationships across various hospital departments. Main duties of the job Duties will include:o Welcoming all patients and service users to the department.o Completing administrative processes and supporting patient flow through the department.o Booking patients in for their examinations and directing patients to the relevant waiting areas.o Answering telephone queries.o Preparing examination rooms and equipment.o Assisting the Radiologists, Radiographers and Radiology Nurses during procedures.
