As the Head of Strategic Finance, you will lead a forward-thinking, future-focused team responsible for enabling the achievement of our financial objectives. Reporting to the Deputy Chief Executive Finance and Business Insights and a key member of Finance SLT, you will provide strategic financial advice, expertise and insight to ensure resources are targeted towards high priority outcome areas and deliver value for money.
The role is responsible for embedding best practice financial planning processes and business partnering. Accountabilities include :
1. Lead the development and execution of the financial business partnership strategy, to support delivery of strategic aims through effective financial decision making.
2. Leadership, guidance and coaching of Finance Business Partnering (FBP) and the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) teams, maintaining positive momentum of personal / professional development and ensuring overall team objectives are met.
3. Build and maintain relationships of credibility with the Executive Leadership Team, acting on an informed understanding of the business and the external environment to provide articulate, informed finance advice and support.
4. Oversee budgeting, planning and forecasting processes, financial analysis, and integrated performance reporting.
5. Support decision-making with robust financial models, projections and scenarios to meet long-term sustainable financial plans and short-term needs. Develop strategic business cases that align with organisational goals and translate financial data into actionable insights.

Are you a strategic financial leader looking for a new opportunity to shape the financial strategy and performance of a truly purposeful organisation? Success will require the following :
1. Membership of CAANZ or equivalent
2. Extensive senior leadership experience within a large complex organisation with demonstrable experience in leading and driving improved financial outcomes.
3. Excellent communication skills and a leader of leaders. Proven ability in developing relationships across a business and the ability to influence at senior levels and a diverse range of stakeholders.
4. Sound knowledge and experience in best practice financial planning processes (budgeting, forecasting, long term financial planning), developing business cases and strategic scenario analysis.
5. Strong strategic capability, change management practice and commercial acumen.
