We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Secondary Teacher, available from November, who is eager to help these students thrive in an inclusive, supportive environment.

The successful SEN Secondary Teacher will plan and deliver engaging, adaptable lessons that meet the diverse needs of students with SEMH and ASD.
You'll play a pivotal role in the day-to-day teaching, assessment, and pastoral care of a small group, working closely with the SENDCo and local authorities to support each child's unique needs and potential.
- Engage and Adapt: Deliver tailored lessons that accommodate students' individual learning needs and preferences.
- Individual Learning Plans: Ensure each student progresses in line with their Individual Learning Plan (ILP) or Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP).
- Collaborative Monitoring: Work with the SENDCo to track and enhance student development in social communication and wellbeing.
- Pastoral Support: Provide guidance and care, creating a positive learning environment with high expectations for behaviour and achievement.
- Parent Engagement: Act as the primary contact for parents, keeping them informed and celebrating students' progress.
- Daily Pupil Needs: Oversee and coordinate the daily requirements of your small group to ensure smooth learning experiences.
- Collaborative Teaching: Work effectively with teaching assistants to support and enhance the classroom environment.
- Liaison with Local Authorities: Coordinate with local authorities regarding funding, EHCPs, and pupil progress reviews.
- Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience: Solid understanding of SEMH and ASD, with insight into their effects on learning and behaviour.
- Skills: Proficiency in differentiated instruction, with a strong commitment to building positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
