First Military Recruitment is proudly working in partnership with a fantastic International Defence business who are looking to recruit multiple Ship System Control Trainers on a permanent basis due to growth based at their Gosport depot.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. To deliver technical and equipment training modules in Controls and Diagnostics to trainees in line with the Course Documentation and as directed by the Department Training Manager.
2. Maintain personal CPD portfolio in respect of new technologies and equipment, and new training delivery methodologies.
3. Ensure that lesson plans and training sessions are developed in accordance with the approved training documentation.
4. Review course content to ensure it is current and evolves to support equipment advances and technologies using most appropriate training aids. Where this is not the case provide detailed input to Course Design.
5. Assessment of trainees to include written examination and practical assessments.
6. Creation of practical assessment/examination scenario and continuous assessments.
7. Marking of examination papers, setting and marking of course and homework, invigilation of examination and assessments.
8. Provide coaching and mentoring of trainees to best support their learning experience.
9. Ensuring trainee development through monitoring, feedback appraisal, ensuring all supporting documentation is maintained and that any special student developmental needs or training delays are raised with the Department Training Manager.
10. Delivery of remedial training and revision as necessary.
11. Student administration including course reports and student training records.
12. To be responsible for the duty of care of trainees during the delivery of training.
13. To ensure that DCTT EMTC Standing Orders, and Quality Management System (QMS) procedures are understood and implemented while of carrying out any work tasks.
14. Ensure company security, health, safety and environmental procedures are implemented and complied with at all times.
15. To carry out other teaching responsibilities that are deemed within your capability by the management team.
Skills and Qualifications:
16. Consolidated experience or directly employed in Marine electrical and electronic engineering principles in the maritime environment.
17. Previous experience in the application of electrical soldering and crimping techniques on low voltage systems.
18. Previous knowledge in the application of Marine electrical and electronic theoretical and practical instruction with an awareness of Electrical/Electronic Principles, Power & Distribution, High Voltage / Low Voltage, Electrical Test Equipment, Electrical Maintenance.
19. Experience utilising Microsoft Office suite of facilities and to be computer literate.
20. Recent experience of CBT/CAI principles, concepts and use.

Working Hours: 39 hours per week – Monday to Friday
