Ward33 are seeking a skilled and compassionate Orthopaedic Nurse to join our team. The successful candidate will provide specialised care to patients with musculoskeletal conditions, including fractures, joint replacements, and spinal injuries. You will work closely with Orthopaedic surgeons, Orthogeriatric Consultants, Physiotherapists, and Advanced Clinical Practitioners. We work in-line with the Best Practice Tariff for our fractured neck of femur patients to ensure optimal outcomes for our patients.
Communication will be a vital part of your role to ensure safe and holistic care. We take direct admissions from the Emergency Department and also repatriations from other hospitals. The successful candidate will be expected to model and uphold the Trust values and behaviours, providing a positive culture and environment for their colleagues and patients.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
1. Managing the safe flow of patients, including admissions and discharges
2. Maintaining a high standard of clinical work when carrying out tasks
3. The administration and checking of medication
4. Keeping up to date with all mandatory and role-specific training

6. Ensuring compliance with our clinical governance framework, motivating colleagues, championing service user safety and dignity, and driving continuous improvement.
