Job overview
The post holder would be part of a team providing senior leadership and management within this specialist service on a day-to-day basis. As nurse shift coordinator, you would work closely with the multi-disciplinary team in the delivery of care to burns injured patients and their families.
We are seeking a suitable experienced burns nurse who can demonstrate strong leadership and ability within the specialty, whilst supporting the delivery of exceptional quality care to patients.
You would act as a mentor/preceptor to junior staff supporting their development, with responsibility for pre-registration students. The post holder will take delegated responsibility for the management of the clinical team and maintain standards of care for our patients.
Main duties of the job
You will be an aspiring leader with the ability to adopt a highly accessible and visible approach for patients, relatives, and colleagues. You will assist the Ward Manager with the operational management for the team working on the Ward.
You will have the ability to develop a culture of continuous improvement with a particular emphasis on the patient journey and clinical outcomes. Good leadership qualities will be essential for the role.
Maintain professionalism at all times. Being a role model and a good team player with excellent communication skills.
