We are recruiting for a Mental Health Nurse who wishes to join our team on the Isle of Wight. You should share our passion and drive to ensure that our patients receive quality and compassionate care. Full or part time hours are available., The post holder, in collaboration with the Team, will be responsible for the delivery of the highest professional standard of care, assessment, treatment and support of people within the Service.
This post is designed to be flexible within Mental Health Access and Acute Services. The post holder would be expected to work across all of Mental Health Services should the need arise and demonstrate a high level of clinical expertise and leadership in respect of all colleagues.
To act as role model to the Support Workers and other staff and to plan, implement and provide meaningful activity for patients within in-patient services. Provide patients with assessments, care plans and treatment plans as appropriate, and ensure that these are put into practice and evaluated.
To contribute to new service developments and actively take these forward as required and be flexible and work with colleagues to promote the best outcomes for patients.
The right candidate will be confident imaginative and enthusiastic You should be able to demonstrate both the drive and motivation to help us to maintain high standards of care and join us on our quality improvement journey.

The transformation will happen in staggered stages; Hampshire CAMHS, part of Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust joined Southern Health in February 2024, with Isle of Wight NHS Trust mental health and community services transitioning in early May 2024. The final combination of Southern Health and Solent Trusts is anticipated to occur in July 2024, when the new organisation will be formed.
Our new Trust will continue to cater to the unique needs of different communities, making healthcare across the county more accessible, as well as offering staff more opportunities for career development, training and partnership working.
