We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual looking to start a career in accountancy to join our rural client
accounting team as an Accounts Assistant. This role will be based at our Shrewsbury office and the post holder will assist the
team with managing the accounts for our rural client portfolio
The postholder will be part of team of 17 professionals with a range of specialisms and extensive experience. We are a multi
service office, supporting our rural, planning and minerals requirements for our clients across the region.

Main tasks:
* Posting receipts onto the TRAMPS software.
* Banking cheques.
* Running the cash management process.
* Reconciling bank accounts
* Processing internet bank transfers and payments
* Managing the general clients account.
* Carrying out all administrative and ad hoc duties in connection with the role.
* Ensuring systems are updated on a timely and accurate basis to enable other departments within the organisation to manage
effectively.
* Supporting other members of the client accounting team and providing cover in periods of absence of other team members.
What will it take to be successful?
Ideally you will have excellent organisational and administrative skills and the ability to think logically. You will have the
ability to work both supervised and unsupervised, being able to make decisions effectively and efficiently. You will have strong
communication skills, a professional approach and great time management skills. It is crucial to have excellent attention to
detail and accuracy, be enthusiastic and pro-active with strong numeral and written analytical skills. Strong interpersonal
skills, good commercial awareness and teamwork are extremely important. It is also essential you are fully computer literate with
a thorough understanding of MS Office programmes, particularly Excel. You must have a clear financial record and the position is
subject to a credit check.
